The successful candidate will be part of the work group responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles in assigned areas, to include ASC Garage, Phoenix Metro Warehouse and North Phoenix Distribution Center. The Fleet Class A Mechanic must meet the following minimal requirements.
Able to lift 75-100 lbs. safely
Comfortable working on/under trucks for and entire shift (8-10 hrs.)
Must be able to read and write and possess basic computer skills.
An offer of employment is based on the satisfactory completion of a drug screen and background check.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends.
Position Description:
Immediate opening for an experienced Class A Mechanic. Qualified individual will possess experience with mid-size P30 trucks, and Class A tractor/trailers. Proven quality record, sound decision-making skills and ability to diagnose, repair and maintain our diesel fleet. DOT Certification and/or CDL license are helpful. Ability to manage parts inventory and have an aptitude for all aspects of vehicle repair. This job specification should not be construed to imply that these requirements are exclusive standards of the position. Employee will follow any other instructions and perform additional related duties as may be required by the supervisor. Candidate should; Have ability to diagnose engine issues; Be capable of following oral and written instructions; Assist in the accomplishment of company goals; Work as a member of a team; Accurately charge parts and labor to work orders.
