JOB SUMMARY/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT:
The Domain Application Lead must understand business objectives to build and oversee current and future state roadmaps for assigned applications; including researching and recommending technical solutions that align with current and future business needs. This role also has the primary responsibility for collaborating with the architecture group to ensure alignment between strategic direction and business projects and for gaining approval for proposed solutions during phase gate reviews.  This role is second in command to the Service Delivery Director (SDD) for their assigned business unit/functional area.   
 
The organizational impact of this position is to ensure applications are constructed or modified in a sound and maintainable fashion, enabling speed to market and stability to the business.   

1.      Develop technical solutions for projects and align the resulting application strategy with the overall enterprise architectural roadmap.
2.      Oversee phase gate presentations, reviews and approval; assist the SDD with the development of domain specific architecture documents including the required architectural artifacts.
3.      Ensure detailed project design specifications are in agreement with the approved technical direction and that project architecture requirements are fulfilled; mentor and develop technical leads and developers.
4.      Seek out and research new and emerging technologies; work with business unit leaders to identify opportunities for system/application improvements; recommend technical solutions during the pre-discover process and work with other IT groups to gain approval to implement improvements.
5.      Monitor changes within the enterprise and business environment and make recommendations regarding technology solutions to enable business innovation and process improvements, and to identify synergies across applications.
6.      Ensure that the applications are in compliance with SOX/PCI and other regulatory compliance initiatives.
7.      Manage critical response (“SWAT") teams to address high priority and escalated issues.

The Oracle Functional Analyst will work as part of the Finance Business Systems group within our client, a global-integrated team responsible for supporting Oracle financial systems. The individual will primarily troubleshoot issues to determine root cause of the problem and provide a recommended solution that would be within the standards and guidelines. Support of other functions within the department including, but not limited to Project Support, Change Management, Data Management, and System Administration


Handle production and non-production help tickets, troubleshoot functional issues, provide direct user support, open and manage Oracle SR’s when needed.
Participate in and support projects such as new module implementations, business process reengineering, customizations, or Oracle upgrades.
Evaluate user change requests, gather business requirements, design and propose new solutions using available standard Oracle functionality.
Support of 3rd party applications integrated to Oracle financial systems
Assist the Finance Business Systems – Business Partner in their day to day activities.
Participate in regression testing where required in support of change management activities.
Provide System Administration and Data management coverage.

Job Summary
This position will represent the Enterprise Technology organization relative to Project Management and Business Analysis. Responsible for full lifecycle management of development and implementation projects, including business analysis skills associated with defining and solving technical requirements associated with internal and external clientele. Participation in internal development efforts associated with ongoing methodology, systems, quality assurance, and training programs. Reports to Manager - Project Management Services.



RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Responsibilities and tasks associated with full lifecycle project management, consistent with BCD Travel standard PM concepts, practices and procedures within the Enterprise Technology organization.
Key highlights include:
Requirements and scope analysis, documentation, and validation.
Lifecycle project planning.
Managing processes associated with SRB review/reporting.
Development of test and acceptance plans.
Stakeholder communications and reporting.
Methodology compliance.
Quality assurance.
Providing PM subject matter expertise as needed.
Use of internal productivity tools, including MS Office and Tempo.
Mentoring / coaching of project management team, as requested.

Assembles, analyzes, and represents customer business requirements, Performs feasibility analysis, scopes project, and recommends alternative solutions (such as to develop or buy software/hardware) and project strategy and deliverable prioritization. Performs all functions of a Business Analyst. Performs cost estimating, cost benefits analysis, and ROI (return on investments). Develops high level implementation plans. Able to perform as a Team Leader when necessary. Facilitates workshops, such as JAD, RAD and DRP sessions. Produces data and process models. Possesses technical background in required applications and tools

Qualifications: - Familiarity and understanding of Boolean logic - Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to drive process improvement - Must be able to work and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, under minimal supervision - Strong sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to exceed expectations - Strong communication skills - Must be proficient in Microsoft applications - Must have exposure / experience in MVS (ISPF, JCL, Syncsort, Fileaid), UNIX, and PC operating environments

UNIX, and PC operating environments - Knowledge of AMEX Risk Systems and data preferred - Knowledge of SAS, SQL preferred - Should be open to being on call for emergencies and contingencies that impact business - Strong team player
